Explanation: A failure has been detected in the real-time clock module on the motherboard.

Diagnosis: When encountered during the installation of a new motherboard or system, this can indicate various hardware problems. On an existing system it usually means a problem with the battery, although it could be a developed motherboard problem as well.

Recommendation:

• Troubleshoot the battery.
• Troubleshoot the motherboard.
