In keeping with the intuitive nature of Windows 2000, Microsoft has developed the Windows 2000 Readiness Analyzer tool. This special tool analyzes
your system and prepares a report of potentially incompatible hardware devices and software applications. The tool compares the devices and applications on your system against a list of known issues with
certain types of hardware devices and software packages. Although this check also occurs during the Windows 2000 setup process, you can run this tool before installing Windows 2000 in order to help ensure
your installation will succeed. While this tool is not infallible, it goes a long way in identifying potential problems, thereby saving you hours of troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software problems.
There are two ways you can run the Windows 2000 Readiness Analyzer depending upon your environment.
If you have Internet access, or you have a limited access or you are a business or corporate user and would like the analyzer in a floppy
