Okay, you have all of your files, made the necessary fixes, and now you're ready to do the installation!

Step 1: Open Windows Explorer and work your way down to your Temp directory and locate "Setup.exe". Once you have found it double click on it to begin the installation process.

This will be the first screen you see:

Now click "Next"

Note: Depending upon whether you downloaded the necessary files or copied them from the Windows 98 CD, you will see the customary Microsoft End User License Agreement (EULA). You must accept its terms in order to continue with the installation!

Step 2: Now you will be given a choice whether you want a Typical, Minimum or Custom installation of Personal Web Server.

Step 3: For this example, we will be selecting "Custom".

Selecting Typical will begin the installation with the basic components, while selecting Custom will bring you to the screen shown below. Note: If you are using Office 97, Office 2000, FrontPage 97 or FrontPage 2000, you will need to use Custom as opposed to Typical, as you will need to de-select the FrontPage 98 Server Extensions.

Step 4: Once you have selected the options that you want to install, and if necessary de-selected the FrontPage 98 Server Extensions, click "Next".

In the next screen, you are provided with a choice as to where to install the Personal Web Server (Internet Publisher) files on your hard drive.

Step 5: Leave the directory for the files set at the default and click "Next".

The next screen you see indicates that the necessary programs files are being copied into the Windows program directory, that your web publishing directory is being created and that the necessary adjustments to your system files is being made.

Step 6: When the installer has completed the installation of Personal Web Server version 4.0, you will see this screen.
